Description: |
| |
Originally a convent dating back to
the 19th century, then a coaching stop during the Napoleonic era,
the Westminster was converted into a luxury hotel in 1846 when it
adopted the coat of arms and name of the Duke of Westminster, a regular
guest. Ever since, it has attracted international VIP's and celebrities.
The hotel was acquired in 1981 by Warwick International Hotels and,
between 1986 and 1992, millions of dollars were carefully invested
to restore it to its original luxury standards. |
